My First Record Label was an art exhibition by Christian Blandhoel, displaying his collection of heavily customized electric guitars, called Sonics, paintings done with guitars as brushes, and video of the painting prosess.
The exhibition also featured recording facilities, where members of the audience could use the guitars and various effect pedals to record their music. They also had access to a camera, computer, scanner and printer to make cover art. The final product was then released on-site as CD-Rs in limited runs of 50 copies.
